Skeleton Key
Hello all. I went detecting the other day and found a 1920 penny and a skeleton key in an old yard that had a house from the a 1800's and I also filmed it as well. The video is coming soon.
The Keys I normally find are Iron, but this bad boy is either Copper or Brass. Heck yeah!!
Its been a while since I have added anything because I have some financial issues but im working on some good content for you guys so hang in there.

New Metal Detector : Makro Racer Short Review
Hey Guys. I got a new Metal detector . Its called a Makro Racer. It is a few years old on the market.
Here is a real short (personal) review for you to decide if you want one or not.
1: The thing is mildly heavy compared to my fisher f44
2: The detector is VERY chatty in all modes unless you turn the sensitivity down a LOT.
3: The detector goes very deep. Tried and tested by me.
4: the detector is very well built.
5: the detector has a built in light "led" to help you see at night when you want to go out in the dark and hunt.
yes, i have used it and it does what its supposed to do. very neat and works like a charm.
6: the Makro Racer has a vibrate mode!! how cool is that. Although it may be cool, I do not think it is in sync with the alerts and tones it gives off.
7: also , it has a screen light with a nice glow with 4 modes of brightness. very neat, But....it doesn't stay on when you need it to and then it goes off like a maniac when it is just sitting down on the ground. :(
8: The Makro Racer is a little hard to get used to and the settings etc etc etc.
9: They say it is very good in iron infested sites, I like to say it is not so great in iron as advertised . Maybe its just me , idk.
10 : The detector does have loads of functions to it to compensate for any negatives.
This is a short brief review of the Makro Racer I will conduct more in the future when i have more working hours on the machine
Do I recommend this machine to you guys??? Maybe. Maybe not. I think the Makro Racer is a acquired taste .
On a Scale of 1-10 I personally rate this Metal Detector (Makro Racer) at a 7.5.

10 Quick Tips About METAL DETECTING
Hey guys and gals. Here is 10 Quick Tips About METAL DETECTING.
1. You get what you pay for. Yep it is true, when you buy a Pickle and recieve a Donught ...You get what you pay for.
If you are going to buy a Metal Detector, you might as well buy a GOOD one.
2. Always fill your holes! Need I say more?
3. Buy a Pinpointer. Trust me it will save loads of time searching for an item you found metal detecting.
4. Buy a digging tool. Normally I bring a small spade shovel for in the deep woods hunting and also a small hand tool.
5. If you like to record what you find just in case your ole buddies and pals don't believe the big fish stories about that one that got away....bring a camera!!!
6. Always ask for permission .
7. research your area before you go.
8. bring water and snacks.
9. buy a finds pouch . you dont want to be huffing a trash bag around with your goodies you found in the park do ya?
10. If you are unsure about it... dig it....
THAT IS ALL FOR NOW . STAY TUNED AND AS ALWAYS HAPPY HUNTING.
FEEL FREE TO DONATE FOR MY CAUSE. DONATE BUTTON AT TOP RIGHT.

How To NOT Clean Old Coins
Hello it is 3:08 am in the morning and I could not sleep so I decided to make a post about How to NOT Clean Old coins.
First things first. A lot of older Coins may be very valuable no matter how you acquire them .
Old coins are collectible and sought after by various coin collectors around the world. It can be a fun hobby to some and a horrible one to others. But none the less, they can be very valuable, so it would be wise to inspect strange looking coins you may find from time to time.
Now here is a list of what not to do to a coin once you have found one by either, Metal detecting , coin roll hunting, or just find one on the street corner.
1. do not ever use vinegar to clean a coin. (Trust me, I have done so and ruined many coins doing so.
2. Do not boil them in hot water.
3. Do not soak them in bleach.
4. Do not put any heat to them.
5. do not scratch it with ANYTHING.
Now these are the things that I have read online before and tried and they DO NOT WORK. please, take it from my personal experience.
A coin can be more valuable to a collector ,dirty with original dirt, etc on it than if you was to clean it. always check your dates if you ever are not sure about a certain coin before you give it to the store clerk for the soda drink you Just bought.
In fact, don't do nothing except store it in a dry safe place until you have done some research of your new found strange looking coin.
I hope you find this advice helpful and remember it the next time you run across a weird looking object , coin, etc.
as always , HAPPY HUNTING.

Fake Rings and maybe a Real Gold Ring finds from abandoned house Hunting
I have some rings and junk rings I found metal detecting and abandoned house hunting a few months back. One seems to be Gold , but I am uncertain about it. It says " Cc " inside of it and also a little mark that is so small i cant tell what it is. I scrubbed it, put a magnet to it, weighed it and still do not know. It came from a house in the woods that the last time I can figure any one lived there was in the 60's - early 70's. I don't know if they made fake gold in the 60s or 70s but all i can say is it still is cool and I want to hang onto it .
I will let you see for your selves.......
